Terms of Service

The terms governing use of the CivicPermit.Solutions website and services.

Effective date: April 30, 2026

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the CivicPermit.Solutions website (civicpermit.solutions), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the site. Use of the CivicPermit.Solutions platform by municipal clients is governed by the applicable service agreement, which takes precedence over these terms where they conflict.

2. Services

CivicPermit.Solutions provides civic software for Canadian municipalities and public utilities. This website describes our products and services. Platform access for municipal clients is provided under separate service agreements that define scope, responsibilities, data handling, and support terms.

3. Use of This Website

You may use this website for informational purposes and to contact us through the provided form. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, or submit false information through the contact form. We reserve the right to block access if we detect abuse.

4. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, design, logos, and code — is owned by Bayhan Technologies Inc. or used under license. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without written permission. Municipal clients retain ownership of their data at all times, as defined in their service agreements.

5. Data Ownership (Platform Clients)

Municipalities and public utilities that use the CivicPermit.Solutions platform own their data. We act as a data processor. Upon termination of a service agreement, we provide full data export in open formats (CSV, JSON, SQL) and delete hosted data within 90 days of the export confirmation, unless longer retention is required by law or the service agreement.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the website and platform available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance windows are communicated in advance to platform clients. Platform availability targets are defined in individual service agreements.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bayhan Technologies Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this website or our services. Our total liability is limited to the fees paid under the applicable service agreement in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New Brunswick.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance.
