How We Implement
A structured, transparent process from discovery to go-live. No surprises, no 18-month timelines.
Implementation Principles
What to expect when you work with us
- Weeks to a few months, not 12–18 months
- Configuration-driven — no custom code required for most changes
- Your data is always portable and exportable
- Phased delivery available if budget timing requires it
- In-person engagement available for New Brunswick municipalities
- Knowledge transfer is a first-class deliverable, not an afterthought
The Process
Six phases, each with clear deliverables
We start with a structured discovery session to understand your current workflows, systems, pain points, and goals. This includes reviewing your asset inventory, permit types, integration landscape, and staffing model.
- Documented requirements and workflow maps
- Integration inventory and data migration scope
- Project plan with milestones and responsibilities
We configure the platform to match your operational needs: forms, workflow rules, fee schedules, scoring criteria, role structures, and branding. This is configuration, not custom development — changes are made through the admin interface, not code.
- Configured solution environment
- Custom forms, workflows, and fee tables
- Role and permission structure
If you have existing data in spreadsheets, legacy systems, or databases, we migrate it into the platform. We validate data integrity with you before cutover and maintain the original source as a reference.
- Data mapping and transformation plan
- Validated migration with side-by-side comparison
- Historical data accessible in the new system
We connect CivicPermit.Solutions to your existing systems: Microsoft Entra ID for SSO, ArcGIS for spatial data, SharePoint for documents, Stripe or Moneris for payments, and others as scoped during discovery.
- Working integrations tested end-to-end
- Authentication and identity federation
- Data flow documentation
We deliver role-based training for administrators, staff users, and field inspectors. Training is hands-on, using your actual configuration and data — not a generic demo environment.
- Administrator training (configuration, user management, reporting)
- Staff training (day-to-day operations, workflows)
- Inspector training (mobile PWA, offline use, field data capture)
- Written reference guides
We support a phased or full cutover based on your comfort level. Post-launch, we provide active support during the stabilization period and transition to ongoing subscription support.
- Production environment launch
- Stabilization support (first 30 days)
- Ongoing subscription with hosting, updates, and support
